Chris & Linda Jensen - Ministers of Creative Arts & Music

I asked Jesus into my heart when I was four years old. I remember kneeling by my bed & telling God that I wanted Him to be my Savior. Since then, I have gone through many years of learning & growing in the Christian walk. He is my joy & my salvation & the strength of my heart!

Music has always been the gift that God gave me. I started singing solos in church when I was seven years old. You would find me in the children’s choir every Saturday morning. When I was in sixth grade I started making use of all those piano lessons by playing the piano for Sunday school classes & eventually the “big church”.

I went to public school & participated in everything musical they had including choirs & orchestra (I kind of played the violin!). When it came time for college, I attended & graduated from Simpson College, which was then located in San Francisco. Of course, my degree was in Sacred Music & my minor was Bible. I traveled in a small singing group called the “Simpson Singers” & also in the concert choir. Again, I participated in everything musical they offered.

After graduating college & earning my teaching credential, I taught school in Christian & public schools. At the same time, God gave me opportunities to serve Him in my local church playing the piano & eventually taking the position of Music Director. I have served in that capacity for many, many years with twelve years of those as Music Minister of First Baptist Church Fountain Hills.

Please come worship with us. If you are musical, we have a place for you to serve!
